Each of the following paintings has a link below the photo leading to it's own post, sometimes showing the "making-of" pics. I'm showing just the completed paintings here. If one catches your interest, you are invited to click on the link to read the rest of the story. Enjoy!
Introduction:
- The Virtual Paintout project was started by artist Bill Guffey.
- Is open to any artists of all abilities and most mediums
- Each month we "travel" via Google Street View to a new location of Bill's choosing
- We each choose our own spot at that new location for as the inspiration for our painting.
For those of us who can't travel to paint on location for various reasons, this is a fantastic and fun way to find inspiration. I feel like my wheelchair has WINGS!! :-D

Your "take" on the Google Street View (at Udawalawe National Park) is a great example of what makes The Virtual Paintout such an interesting project. While some artists used the marketplace or a scenic view to express themselves, you have made made a truly unique and personal piece of artwork that also feels like the work of a local craftsman (well, craftsperson!). Well done!! - as are all your other Virtual Paintout submissions!
ReplyDeleteOh, you got it! That's exactly the effect I was going for. Thanks for seeing that, Patricia. :-)
