The Adventures of Bike Bear!
These are pics of the motorcycle helmet I painted for my sweetie, Jim. I used Genesis Heat-set Oils, with an automotive spray-0n protective coating. What fun these paints are to use! Like painting with oils for the artist, and looks like oils for the viewer. But NO fumes from turps...and they dry by applying heat, which causes a chemical change and instant drying. Love them!! Enjoyed playing with this Folk art style, too. :-)
Enjoy looking!

Journey
"Life is a journey we choose".
I like that quote. I am on a journey, and I am learning it's important to "Enjoy the Journey", not only the destination. Maybe this is why I like the photographs that my sweetheart, Jim, takes of Paths. Here is one that I find mysterious, lush and intriguing. It makes me want to BE there...

Little Cat, Big Dreams
Butterfly was a rescued kitty. She almost died, but with love and care, and her own spunky personality, she made it.
She was my inspiration for the painting I did on this 3ft tall fiberglass cat-shaped sculpture. It was a fundraiser for C.A.T.S. (Committed Alliance To Strays) called "Pawsing for Art". Sold at auction for $1100!!
The colors are more vibrant in person, but you get the general idea!
Thanks for reading,
Loretta
